So once all the usual and convenient solutions were out, I decided to try the "old school" method, which is simply getting your screwdriver and going crazy on the device :) Logitech chat support was not able to solve either. To bring it back, I did all of the usual stuff by the book (Drivers, apps, updates, downgrades, different OS and entirely different computers, different USB ports hubs etc the whole shebang) I was suspecting that the cleaning lady bumped it, dropped it or something. My Logitech c310 webcam started showing nothing but a white screen. I screwed the circuit board screws in not too tight, but still securely. I then re-tightened all of the screws back in. That shifted movement made a flicker and I started seeing my chin on the webcam instead of white. I then jimmied the circuit carefully by inserting my tiny screwdriver behind the top edge of the circuit and pulling it towards me. I loosened the circuit board screws just before they were fully unscrewed. Keep an eye on the webcam app for signs of change. There are two screws on the green circuit (one each on the left and right sides). To be honest the wires didn't appear "tight" to me. This revealed another black layer of plastic with 3 screws unscrew these. I removed the plastic cap/top layer of the webcam. Here's what I specifically did:įirst, I turned on a webcam application to check for the signs of the white screen changing/fixing. I had this same issue and fixed it similarly to others.
